Pay and Benefits

CARE USA compensates our employees for their work according to our Total Pay philosophy, which includes both the salary and benefits that employees receive. CARE's compensation & benefits program is designed to attract, reward and retain talented and capable people worldwide, as well as to reflect the organization's core values, vision and mission. To ensure that CARE USA's compensation & benefits program remains competitive with that of other organizations, CARE USA uses external benchmarks to determine salary ranges and benefits packages for all CARE USA-paid employees. From time to time we may advertise positions for other CARE members or for our country offices, in which case local salary and benefit programs will apply.

Pay is reviewed annually for all CARE USA staff. All CARE USA staff can expect pay decisions that:

  • recognize their contribution;
  • are fair and equitable; and
  • are affordable to the organization and justifiable to our donors.
